Sleeping train to varna

Hi,

Does anyone has experience with the night/sleeping train from Sofia to Varna ? Is is comfortable and can you actually get some sleep ?

Never took a train in BG, but if they are similar to the trams, then I prefer to rent a car and drive the long way to Varna.

Does it need booking well in advance ?

in the summer you are well advised to book in advance as they can be full, especially during the weekend

if you take a bed, you can sleep
though it might be hot and sweaty in the summer, depending on temperature and how full it is...
keep windows open and you should be fine Smile

hire a car its quicker and your in control i spent a couple of hours walking the tracks i now know why the trains are limited to 50 kilometres an hour.the track is substandard. the overnight trains are very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, if your on a budget the train wins
