Bulgarian women and foreigners

Sometimes I have the felling that a Bulgarian woman is interested in me just because I am not local...I also wonder whether it is because of my strange accent or my bigger salary ? What do you think? Any of you with similar experience ?

My personnal experience was very contrasted.

I had two different extreme situations, compared to my country of origin (France)

First situation is at work, in streets, at friends.
here i found more difficulties to go deeper with persons, even to talk, than anyplace.
Second situation was in disco, in internet chat ... there i found persons looking specifically for foreigners probably for better live ...( and difference of salary of 10x )
In this second case, the women i saw were ready to go much deeper than coffee the first day... i had to stop them.

As many bulgarian women are registred on expatinbulgaria, i would like to say that i chated with some of them and they were all every nice persons, extremely polite and with culture, totally not interested, and even probably too precausionous to even accept a a coffee.
One of them ( she will reconize herself) had with me very nice conversations for one month but rejected the idea of a coffee.

In conclusion, i am still looking for the middle situation which was for me my standard situation in France, i mean to go deeper with a person progressively ...

My bad experience (if I can call it like that) is also from the pubs and discos. Not that every girl I met was ready to make the breakfast next morning but still many of them were willing to go too deep without even knowing my name.

I fully agree with you about the women visiting this site. I have also chated with some of them and it seems they all are reallynice ladies. Though I am a little bit scared I am thinking of inviting one of them to a cupof coffee (she will aslo recognize hereself Smile

Interesting thing. I Am not looking for women (We, me and my Bulgarian wife are very happy together, 4 years and counting.

Again I can only relate my own personal experiences. I have met several Bulgarian women online { I'm recently divorced} and the impression I get is that they assume all Westerners are millionaires. I've been offered sex in return for
A} Buying someone a digital camera plus cash
B} Paying someones rent for an apartment in Sofia
C} Buying someone a {small} hotel in Plovdiv.

Sadly I had to inform the girls that I'm no sugar daddy, their reaction ranged from 'Your loss' to 'You cheapskate'
The flip side of the coin is that I've made a few very good friends, male and female who seem to want nothing more from me than my company. Bulgaria is a poor country, people are pressurised to adopt capitalism, which equals consumerism which equals a need for disposable income..I think it's economic pressure which shapes the response of many Bulgarian women to Westerners.

Once i had funny conversation with one bg guy, who is really lovely one. But the point is not here...so...once he asked me in a little 'joke' way if i have some single friend in my place. I just smiled and said that bg girls are really pretty, so why he is not dating some lovely one. The answer i didnt expect - he said, that it's true that faces are nice, but he said that he wont live forever with lovely face. And this is the only possitive stuff bg girls have...is it true?

Their is a myth about Eastern European women which is unfortunate and attracts unwanted sexual tourism to Bulgaria. This unfortunately has seem an alarming rise in STD's and HIV in Eastern Europe.

The growth of this myth started in the 1990's with the fall of the Soviet Union. The economic depression was so severe that many degree educated women fell into sex slavery and ended up in Western World. For many western males their first experience of these beautiful Eastern women were in seedy strip clubs and brothels.

The truth about Bulgarian women is they work hard on their image and looks. Their diet is far healthier and they exercise more than western women. They are homemakers and want a family. Yes they keep a stare unlike western women but this is only a stare. They do appreciate men who have security and this is the same the whole word over. They are happy to enter freely into conversations and are more liberal than western women. They are extremely jealous and passionate like most women.

My Bulgarian wife and I have been married for 6 years. And some of your descriptions of Bulgarian women (e.g. the home maker part) don't really apply to her. The career thing is actually pretty strong in her case. So either these impressions are inaccurate or my wife is an exception.

I meet many foreigners with Bulgarian wifes, but not that many foreign women with Bulgarian husbands. Does anyone have a scientific explanation for this phenomenon?

One thing which is very noticeable about Bulgarian women is how they present themselves...I find many of them across all ages to be very stylish, they actually care about their appearance, they take great pains to look feminine and trendy.{did anyone read about the Bg woman in Rousse who was saved when her silicon implants served as airbags when she was involved in a car accident? LOL}
This concern about how you present your self is a lesson many women in the UK should learn, as the old saying goes it's not what you've got it's what you do with it!
