325 complaints reach Bulgaria's ombudsman in January
In January Bulgaria's ombudsman received 325 complaints.
The figure represents a 36.5 per cent increase compared to the monthly averages for 2006. Complaints per month in 2006 averaged 209, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Nearly 3940 people visited the office of the ombudsman since it was opened.
By the end of January 2007 the ombudsman received 3389 complaints.
Most people addressed the institution to deal with problems related to property, ownership of farm and forest land, labour and employment rights, social securities and other issues.
Nearly 90 per cent of all complaints filed in 2006 focus on the provision of public services like district heating supply, BTA reported.
In January the number of complaints concerning property decreased.
