Bulgaria expects developments in construction sector

Cigarette production, agriculture and food production are among the economic sectors in Bulgaria to see most dynamic development.

The conclusions feature in a report of UniCredit Group on the development of economic sectors in Central and Southeast European countries, Novinar newspaper reported.

Construction and services are also to see some growth.

Since 2000, countries in the region have increased their share in the international machinery and equipment production trade.

These countries have also seen growth in the production of synthetics, electrical appliances and wooden products, the report said.

Bulgaria and Romania are increasingly seen as attractive destinations for foreign investors. Inexpensive and qualified labour features among the factors behind the development, Novinar reported.
