Bulgaria keeps low visa prices for Russians, despite higher common EU price
Bulgaria decided to keep lower visa permit prices for Russian tourists until the end of summer season 2007.
EU and Russia agreed on facilitated permit issuing regime starting June 1 2007, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
According to the agreement, some groups of people traveling on cultural or education business, journalists and sportsmen, will visit the EU and Russia under easier conditions. Both parties introduced visa permit price of 35 euro.
Bulgaria decided to keep its price of 20 euro for visa permit for Russian tourists who take part in organised trips.
EU countries consulates will issue visa permits, only after application from tour operators registered in Russia’s agency for tourism list. Russia recently introduced legislation amendments and more than 8000 of the 10 000 licensed tour operators in the country fail to meet the new requirements.
