Chefs from Bulgaria get bronze in Istanbul
Bulgaria’s national team of chefs won a bronze medal from the Istanbul International Gastronomy Festival.
Plamen Stamov, named best chef of Bulgaria for 2006, won the medal in the category for lamb main course, netinfo.bg reported.
The team also won three honorary diplomas for personal participation.
A prestigious international jury from the World Association of Cooks Societies (WACS) evaluated the teams, netinfo.bg said.
Mastership, composition, presentation and taste were among the main criteria for the evaluation of the meals.
More than 700 participants from 26 countries took part in the festival.
