Further talks on oil pipeline project between Bulgaria and Russia
Deputy Regional Development Minister Kalin Rogachev will head the Bulgarian delegation that will discuss in Russia developments in the Bourgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline project.
Russia's deputy minister of industry and energy will lead the Russian group in the talks, Darik Radio reported.
The summit is scheduled for January 19. Russia and Bulgaria will discuss the texts of the agreement that Bulgaria, Russia and Greece have to sign before project execution began.
Greek media reported this week that progress in the talks has been made and the three countries were entering the final negotiation phase.
According to the reports an agreement could be signed in February.
On January 16 Bulgaria's Regional Development Minister Assen Gagauzov met his Greek counterpart Dimitris Sioufas to elaborate project plans.
Greek media said that the agreement could be signed as soon as Bulgaria and Russia overcame their differences concerning various contract items. The three countries were supposed to sign the agreement by the end of 2006.
