Healthcare in Bulgaria sees problems, not crisis- Gaidarski
Bulgaria’s healthcare system was experiencing some problems rather than chaos and a crisis, Health Minister Radoslav Gaidarski said.
His statement came as a response to the decision of opposition parties to demand a no-confidence motion for the Cabinet because of the state of Bulgaria’s healthcare sector.
The opposition has the right to request such motion, Gaidarski said as quoted by Focus news agency.
Gaidarski said that no one has requested his dismissal and he has always taken responsibility for any decision.
Everything possible to deal with the problems was done, Gaidarski said. “On the day of the vote you will hear what has been achieved in one year and what has been done previously in 15 years,” Gaidarski said.
On several occasions Gaidarski said that the problems in Bulgaria’s healthcare date back to previous Cabinets and the current Health Ministry was doing everything possible to deal with the accumulated hospital debts and other problems.
