Middle Eastern tourists lured to Bulgaria during Dubai tourism expo
Bulgaria will take part in the international tourism expo Arabian Travel Market’07 (ATM) held in Dubai from May 1 to 4 2007.
ATM is the biggest and most important tourism expo in the Middle East, State Agency for Tourism (SAT) said.
Bulgaria participates for the third time in the expo. This year, the country will present tourism opportunities on a 25 sq m stand and in the daily magazine of the expo, Focus news agency reported.
More than 13 350 tourists from the Middle East visited Bulgaria in 2006. Their number registered a decrease of 3.73 per cent as compared to the figures for 2005.
UK company Reed Exhibitions organises the expo.
More than 1600 exhibitors from 60 countries took part in the expo in 2006. The number of visitors exceeded 21 000 and they came from nearly 100 countries.
