Project to protect Bulgaria's Black Sea coast
My Coast project, funded by the Dutch government, will protect and develop the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Savin Kovachev took part in a press conference on the strategy for development of the Black Sea coastal region, Focus News agency reported.
The project aims at establishing a concept of how the Black Sea will look like in 2030.
The main message of the project is that economic development can go hand in hand with environment protection, Dutch Ambassador to Bulgaria Willem van Ee said.
My Coast will last two years. Dutch experts will organise discussions with private companies and eco organisations who are interested in it.
Kovachev said that the zoning plans of Black Sea municipalities that want to take advantage of the project will be ready in 2007.
