Sunny and snowy weather in Bulgaria's winter resorts

Ski tracks in Bansko resort in the Pirin Mountain are machine groomed and all facilities are functioning.

Weather in the resort is clear and sunny, Focus news agency said. The snow coverage reaches 20 cm.

In the Rila Mountain resort of Borovovets tracks and facilities are opened, as well.

Tracks Yastrebets 2 and Yastrebets 3 were partially iced in their lower parts and skiers should be very careful, Focus said.

Tourists are strongly recommended to keep to the marked tracks as avalanche danger exists in Markoudzhik area.

Weather in the resort is clear and sunny, temperatures reach -2 degrees Celsius and snow coverage varies from 70 to 135 cm.

Pamporovo resort in the Rhodope Mountains saw a fresh 10 cm snow coverage during the night of February 27 2007, Focus said.

Ski tracks are being groomed and all lifts are functioning. Thermometers show -1 degree Celsius. The weather is cloudy and windy.

Conditions are suitable for skiing at Mechi Chal near Chepelare in the Rhodope area. Snow coverage is 25 cm and the ski tracks are groomed.
